- JLJustin LewellenFeb 19, 20265.0My family and I were traveling and as we got to Pennsylvania in the mountains our car started to lose power and would not accelerate. It was skipping and shaking and something was wrong. The check engine light came on so we looked up the nearest parts store and landed at advanced auto parts in Somerset Pennsylvania. I asked if they could run a scanner to see what the issue was. The two gentlemen working gladly ran the scanner and we saw it was a misfire in my cylinder. We looked up the parts to replace and both were in stock. I bought the parts and they asked me if i needed help installing them. The one guy had the needed tools in his personal vehicle and came out and swapped the parts for me.. ( btw... it was pouring down raining as he was out there helping me with my car!).. we got the parts replaced and everything ran smooth! Both men working that helped me were angles for me and my family. The guy at check out gave me great advice about the engine issues just before we left to make sure we got where we were going safe... thank you both! I wish i had names to post. But to the owner... look up who worked at advanced auto in Somerset at 4pm on 2/19/26 and tell them thank you from me and my family! We made it to our destination safe with their help!

- MLMatthew LesterSep 14, 20255.0While driving through PA on the turnpike my low tire light came on. I pulled over in a travel center and found a piece of metal in my tire. It was leaking enough to be a concern. The next exit was Somerset, I quickly found advanced auto on the main road through town. The gentlemen behind the counter were friendly, knowledgeable and quick to get me the right parts to repair my tire quickly. They let me use a air compressor to air up my tire and had some soapy water to verify the repair. I made the rest of my 7 hour drive without issue.
