- CSChristopher SwartzFeb 6, 20262.0I'm not impressed anymore with them, I used to be a big fan and did all my car parts shopping here untill the last time I had to get parts for my brakes and every caliper I bought from them was defective and it cost me a lot putting on and taking off and using the warentee going up and coming back, just such a waste of my time and money, so disappointed, I cant even begin to explain how horrible the experience was. Id swear, stay away! and I'm not hard to get along with and I understand people make mistakes but when it's 3 in a row of the same brand, that's a shame!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
