- RBRegina Bertolino2 days ago3.0I have always used Safelite for chips and cracks, with total satisfaction, and I even used it to replace the back window 2 years ago. Now my back door has started leaking and I took it to my dealership to find out what was wrong, their video showed me that when the window was replaced there were clips and plugs that we're missing from the reinstallation of the window and the spoiler at the top. Safelite has a lifetime warranty when there is defective work. So I called them. I come to find out that because my dealership took my car apart to look and see where the water was coming from, it totally voided safelite's warranty. So now they are not responsible and I have to pay almost $600 to have the parts replaced to have my door dried out and have the rug dried out in the back. Who would think that rather than going to your dealership, you would have to go to the glass shop????? Just a note so you are aware. If you look at all the negative comments and Safelite's responses, either "contact customer care" or "sorry you are disappointed". That does not help the empty wallet. I will really consider looking elsewhere in the future.
