PLEASE I BEG YOU DONT TRUST OR USE INTOXALOCK. THEY ONKY CARE ABOUT MONEY. They could care less about the person. I was in an accident and totaled my first car. I was not at fault. It had Intoxalock on it. Intoxalock told me to remove it because it didn't have the devices expensive insurance. Then they told PA I did an unauthorized removal and PA suspended my license. But within a month I got another car and I used Intoxalock again. They themselves were confused about their own unauthorized removal filed to PA on my account. So what did they do? Simply created a new account just to get my money. They didn’t fix the old account with PA. But used the credentials from the old account to get my the new one started. PA thinks I have two cars. There’s a mess and I was told by lawyers and the state representative’s office that only Intoxalock can fix it by clearing the old account. They don’t budge or care. They only care about the new one and left me stranded and abandoned. They won’t do anything further than take my money. I got pulled over and was told my license was suspended all because they created a mess in a hurry to get me signed up to the new car and new account. That alone is illegal. I am not supposed to have two accounts and here I am WARNING EVERYONE TO NOT TRUST INTOXALOCK

Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock
How does an interlock device work?
An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. To read more on Intoxalock, you can read our ignition interlock device guide.
What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?
The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
How do I use my interlock device?
Using an IID is simple. To start your vehicle, blow into the device as directed. If the device detects no alcohol, your car will start. You may be prompted for "rolling retests" while driving, where you’ll blow into the device again to confirm compliance. How-to videos are also available on the Intoxalock mobile app.

What happens if I fail a breath test on my ignition interlock device?
If you fail a breath test, your vehicle will not start, and the device will log the event. Depending on your state’s regulations, multiple failed tests may trigger additional penalties, such as lockouts or reporting to your monitoring authority. Intoxalock devices allow you to retest after a short wait if alcohol is no longer detected. Always follow your state’s guidelines to remain compliant.
