  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I made a rental car reservation through Expedia with SIXT for $352.67 on March 5 at Atlanta Airport. Due to a flight delay, I was informed that I needed to cancel and rebook the reservation, resulting in a new charge of $896.43. At the SIXT counter, we explained the situation to Victoria, a customer service representative. She advised that she could cancel the rebooked reservation by contacting Expedia by email and rebook us at half the cost. Relying on her guidance, we proceeded accordingly. She lied and knew she was lying. I contacted SIXT customer service and was explicitly informed that Victoria’s statements were false. In the call, which I recorded, the rep said Victoria lied. In other words, this was fraud, and as a result, both charges—$896.43 and $534.60—remain on my credit card. Neither Expedia or Sixt will help. They take no responsibility even though it clearly shows two bookings for the same time.

  Due to an entire airport airspace being shut down I was unable to make my flights and unable to make the trip where this rental was needed. Completely extraordinary circumstances that were out of my control and Sixt has still denied a refund multiple times. It's clear there's a lack of ethics with this company. Please consider that when taking a risk being a customer with them. Will be avoiding in the future.

  Would give negative stars if I could. Absolutely nickel and dime you. And make sure you take photos and upload immediately. I am battling with them over a "crack" in a tire that is fully inflated. And a scuffed rim that was there when I got the car. Make sure your videos are short or they will not upload. Of you don't upload photos/videos at the time of rental they will 100% charge you for every ding and scratch on the vehicle. They should now what's already been done and we all know they are not fixing anything.Never using them again. Should of known better than to try a new company/ budget option.

  I wanted to share my exceptional experience with SIXT car rental in the Pittsburgh International Airport with Scott Thompson, the branch manager. My original reservation was with Budget car rental for an intermittent SUV when I arrived at the car counter at the correct time and pre registered. I was told the only intermediate cars they had were two pick up trucks and a Ford bronco. I was traveling with a person in a wheelchair. The representative went out to the lot to see if they had anything else available and that was all they had in the intermediate SUV department so I asked for an upgrade or if they could align with cars from another rental company, and was told it would only be the Ford bronco for the space needed. There was no way for a wheelchair individual to get into that vehicle. I was left stranded at very late in the evening. I proceeded over to the Sixt car rental counter and was greeted by Scott Thompson. He told me no worries he would find me an SUV that would suit our needs for the wheelchair and luggage. He also offered to stay with my family member in the WC so I can pick up the vehicle and around and pick him up at the door. I chose an alternate route in which he had the car brought up to the front of Sixt and running. I was unable to take my family member and all my luggage to the vehicle. If it wasn’t for Scott, we would’ve been stranded. He went above and beyond to help us. For anyone looking for exceptional car rental service go to SIXT in the Pittsburgh International Airport. As for Budget car rental you have a lot to learn as a customer with a reservation and yet to leave them stranded with a wheelchair member. Renters please be aware if this type of conduct of how they treat their customers. Shame on you! Thank you again Scott as I will be renting from Sixt moving forward.

  I’ve rented with Sixt in Europe and Asia and now in the US maybe 20 times, home airport is PIT but also rented and dealt with Tampa, Nashville, Phx, and LAX. Don’t waste your time with other car rentals. Sixt is great. The customer service is top notch. One time I had mechanical problems about 75 miles from PIT airport and they sent a new car on a flat bed and took the one with issues. No questions asked. I never found out what had happened but it was a brake issue. Sixt was easy to work with. Also had a flat tire at some point. Again easy to work with. In Asia Sixt is one of our vendors and they are super easy to work with there as well. Same with Europe. Sixt is one of the oldest car rental companies in the world founded in 1912. They are relatively new to the US market but they are known for quality cars and customer service. Again I’ve rented out of PIT maybe 20 times and super easy to deal with. You really don’t even need to speak to anyone as you can do everything through the app and just go straight to the car. The only thing with Sixt to be careful with is their one way drop off fees which can be high. In the case of one-way rentals I use enterprise as the drop off fee is more reasonable. With the BMW 8 series phasing out, will be interested to know what Sixt plans to replace it with.
