I had to tow my car from downtown to Penn Hills because I kept getting an error message that the device was syncing. I called their customer service and was told I would have to tow my car. I sent them the receipt the tow company gave me and of course they said they wouldn't accept the receipt because it didn't meet their requirements. This company is a money making scam. I was contacted by a supervisor from Intoxalock who said he was unaware of the situation and the fact that my claim was denied. He credited the account $130 although the receipt was for $99. I'm very happy with the effort made to rectify the situation. I really appreciate it and in light of this I'm very impressed with the service I've received from Intoxalock. Thank you!!

Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock

How does an interlock device work?

An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?
