Customer service skills were not existent same with her willingness to be anything other than useless. She was extremely rude from the second we walked into the store. I will never go back to this specific location.
- AHandrew haakSep 26, 20255.0I learned today that my car required a special type of coolant (anti-freeze) that my oil change place did not carry. I popped into the Advance Auto on McKnight road hoping they stocked it. The guy at the counter, Andrew, went out of his way to help make sure that the type he was selling me was the proper type that was recommended for my car. The in-store computer “kind of” provides that information, but the car’s owners manual lists the exact specs needed. He took it upon himself to look them up on his phone and confirm that they lined up with what was on the bottle of coolant while I waited at the counter. He was knowledgeable, cared, and wanted to make sure that I didn’t put something into my car that could possibly damage the coolant system. Andrew thanks for the great work! And to Andrew’s manager…this man needs a raise! He is a great representative and tremendous asset for your company. If I were a manager at a rival parts store I’d try and poach him ; )

Sad to hear that as he was always helpful and knowledgeable. However that wasn't the worst part of the visit. There was a noticeable foul smell in the store that smelled like raw sewage. Made it so I had to leave and visit the other store across the street.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
