This public EVgo charging station in Pittsburgh provides fast charging for all major electric vehicles. Located on 600 Chauvet Drive, it's near Seven Seas Pools & Spas - North Fayette. The site offers 24/7 access, is ADA-compliant, and supports both CCS and CHAdeMO connectors. While charging, drivers can visit nearby shops or grab food within walking distance. Customers can use the EVgo app to check charger availability, track sessions, and view Time-of-Use pricing where available. It's a convenient and reliable option for both local drivers and those passing through the area.
These EVgo chargers are consistently down more than theyโre up. It seems like every time I come here, the entire station (all 4 chargers) are under maintenance. For one of the closest stations near the airport, this is unacceptable. The downtime creates huge wait times for drivers who rely on these chargers to work efficiently.
To make matters worse, the next closest EVgo location has also had two chargers down (one entire machine) for weeks, leaving only two available chargers within nearly a 20-mile radius. This creates unnecessary congestion and stress for drivers trying to do their jobs or make travel connections.
Itโs incredibly frustrating to see these issues go on for so long without consistent, reliable service. EVgo needs to prioritize maintenance and uptime at these key locations, especially those near high-traffic areas like the airport.

Easy to find, worked first try. Good chargers, hella simple to use. Download EVGO app and set up Autocharge+ so that you can just plug your car in and walk away, no need to deal with credit/debit cards or anything. Also, the EVGO app tells you which charging stations are available, which are busy, and which ones are offline.
I really get disappointed when I see a place with low reviews simply because people never checked the EVGO app to see if these chargers were available, came here exactly once while these chargers were offline for maintenance, left a 1 star review, then never came back to see if they were fixed, and never updated their review.
Now these people are driving around complaining about the lack of charging stations and constantly worried about their batteries even this whole thing could be so much simpler if they'd just check which chargers are available before just assuming you can just show up and charge anywhere on the planet. I don't know about you, but I find the extra frustration they've caused themselves to be rather funny.
