  I may be a little biased because 33 years ago, I flew into Philly on a delayed flight and could NOT get the car I had booked at a DIFFERENT company as they had closed, so called them. They said "Well, our hours are right there on the information MAILED to you...not emailed you see...they didn't email yet and I had no paper trail to have referenced! Fortunately, National was still open and got me in a car. I have been a rabid Emerald Aisle customer ever since. Interestingly, I flew into Philly this week...the flight I was on was cancelled and I was going to need to pick up the car the next morning rather than the evening as planned. I called, they made the change and made sure I knew that the bill would be less since I didn't have access to the car for the time I thought I needed it! No charge, just a quick easy change and done! Yeah, National!!

  As an Emerald Club member, I have the opportunity to go directly to the car lane and as per usual go straight to the vehicle I had rented. It was clean, fully operational, and the out gate process was seamless to include having the added driver on boarded as requested. Likewise at the turn-in, I simply drove in, emptied my personal effects, and walked to a waiting bus to take me to my terminal. This probably sounds simply, and it is. Let me say that I need to move with a tall walker, and through all this I have never received the slightest indication that my need for a bus ramp, assistance with luggage or special bus seating was any undue effort on a team member's behalf. Everyone was professional and on task to facilitate my movement through the National system in Philadelphia or any of their many other locations I've processed through. Period! Very well done.

  Been to this location many times (>20) and it's solid. My only hiccup is that I feel like often get cars where the interiors were left awry after a cleaning, so I have to go around to all the doors and adjust the seats and mirrors back to a normal position. I also sometimes just get broken items (for example on last trip the side view mirror of my card could not be adjusted electronically). National is still the best, the simplest, the smoothest... and the most expensive :)

  I had a great experiences with National Car Rental during my trip to PA. After another rental company wouldn't accept my debit card was forced to forfeit my reservation. However, National was able to accommodate me without any issues. The booking process on their website was quick and easy, and picking up the vehicle was just as smooth. The car itself was in excellent condition - very clean and made my trip much more enjoyable. The only downside was returning the vehicle at Trenton-Mercer Airport. Since it's a smaller airport, there wasn't clear signage for rental returns, which made it a bit confusing. Additionally, there were no shuttle services from the parking area, so it required a longer walk to the terminal. Overall, a very positive experience, and I would definitely rent from National again.

  All in all a great experience but I must add that the first employee I met when I picked up the car was rude and dismissive. He tried to just make me go pick a car when I wanted to show him my reservation number. I was trying to find it in my email and he just told me to go pick a car. Then I asked him which car he thought would be best and he said they are all fine, just pick any of them. It was odd but I would have just dismissed him as just someone who wasn't able to be polite or courteous but then he was very attentive to another customer while I was still trying to pick a car. He went up to this other woman and asked her if she was looking for a particular car and if he could help her find what she needed His tone of voice was so polite and not at all the way he spoke to me. I was surprised that he could sound so respectful. I am not sure why he refused to give me the same help even though I had asked him directly and very politely. That said all of the other employees were wonderful from then on. Especially the woman at the gate when I left and the lovely man who checked my car back in. The car was scratched all over the hood and roof and had a dent in the windshield when I picked it up but it worked well the entire time I had it. A lot of the cars I had to choose from were missing keys. The choices were not that great so I picked the best car despite its scratches and that the exterior was not clean. I hope that the first employee starts to treat all of the customers with respect and care not just ones he feels deserve it.
