    Do not rent from Sixt. We recently rented a car and there was a minor scratch on the rim of the tire that was <2in. When we picked the car up in PHL we didn’t notice it as I typically just look for body damage. Some automatic scanner registered it on return to EWR and honestly I still have a hard time seeing the issue. The car was never street parked. They’re charging $825 for the “damages” which is more than what I paid to rent the car. And $225 of that is for “admin fees” which is absurd. I wish I had read the reviews before because they do seem to have a history of scamming.

    If you need to rent a vehicle, please rent with Sixt! The professionalism and exceptional customer service was beyond my expectations. I was skeptical about receiving a vehicle that was way out of my price range but the rental agents Tacoma and Lisa made it so simple, and plus I felt like a African Queen driving in the BMW SERIES 2 for those couple of days. I will be returning and informing everyone to rent with Sixt, because there is no other way to go. Thank you so much for all you do to make your customers feel appreciated.

    Fantastic car rental experience. The cars are in great shape and a really good selection of vehicles as well, but what truly sets them apart from the other places I have rented from was the people! All of them. Not just a "lucky" few who happen to be at the beginning of a shift or had a good evening. EVERYBODY! From the gentleman who picked me up to the counter person and even the guy next to her at the counter. The guy who was opening the door to the facility was awesome! Seriously, you can rent a vehicle almost anywhere nowadays but great conditions vehicles AND GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE?? Rent Sixt and do yourself a favor

    I highly recommend not booking with Sixt. I was not given the opportunity to do a walk around on the vehicle before or after drop off even though I requested it. Additionally, the representative told me as a military member not to add the insurance option. After my return I was hit with fees for a "scratch" on the car that was clearly visible before I picked up the vehicle. Do not rent with his company.

    This company is most certainly into scamming customers and hoping they don’t notice or don’t fight it. I rented an SUV but when I showed up alone I was asked if I really needed an suv. I said I prefer to drive suvs yes. I was told if I switched to a car they would comp the fuel, so I returned the car without putting gas in it. A day later I get an invoice saying they are charging me 78 for fuel. I reached out and let them know I was told the fuel was comped. I get an email back stating they will make a one time exception like they were doing me a favor. I let them know they weren’t doing me no favor by not overcharging me. Based on the other reviews, now I have to sit and wait for an email saying I damaged the car. First and last time using the company. Update after the reply from Sixt: There was no misunderstanding and being misled. It’s pretty straight forward when you are told that if you switch from the SUV that you scheduled for rental to a car we will comp the fuel. There is no confusion in that statement. It seems the lady didn’t add that to the rental agreement (my bad for not reading to word for word before signing) and was instead trying to pull a fast one. I guess most customer wouldn’t complain about 70 bucks, so if yall just get 3/10, you’re still making additional money you shouldn’t have and mark that as a win for the company. Dishonest practices shouldn’t exist in business, especially a customer first business.
