A special shout out to Cal, who truly goes above and beyond to bring positive energy and genuine kindness the moment you arrive. He sets the tone for a fantastic start to every trip!

  Agents were very nice and informative. The agent saw me car hopping. He came over and asked me if I was looking for automatic seats. I said YESSS, how did you know. I'm not that tall and need to sit up high. At that moment, another staff member was pulling up with a Durango and asked if this will do. He said it has automatic seats, heated seats and steering wheel. I said yes. Its like he knew exactly what I needed before I asked. Thank you National. Always a pleasure renting with you. Maria M.

  Rented a brand new suv at the PHL airport and I believe I was the very first rental driver. Unfortunately the next morning the car began driving poorly and a check engine light came on. The manager immediately offered to swap out the car quickly and easily if I felt comfortable driving back to the location, which was almost an hour away. I did bring it back, and as promised they already had an identical car waiting and I was able to drive off again within minutes. The rental return after a week was just as smooth. I was in and out on the way to the airport terminal within minutes via their shuttle service. I will absolutely use National Car again and would recommend them to any travelers in need of an airport rental. The managers and staff are an excellent group of people.

  Usually a positive experience with National, but this past week at Philly it took me three tries to find a car. They told me to grab any car in a given line. First one had the service needed now light. The second did not have the keys in it. Third time was the charm, but I had to load and unload my bags twice. The weather was not pleasant either. I just wanted to find a car and drive.

  Executive Elite member here and this was one of the worst rental experiences I have had. I booked a standard pickup truck and because I am under 25, I did my due diligence and called the night before to confirm eligibility. The agent on the phone clearly stated that everything was approved and that I would have no issues renting the vehicle I reserved. The next day at the location, the story completely changed. I was asked about my status, directed to the Executive area, and then immediately told that because of my age I could not take most of the Executive vehicles. When I asked if I could at least take the pickup truck I booked and was told was approved, the answer was no. I was forced into a basic car while still being charged for a pickup truck, plus a young driver fee. There was zero Executive Elite recognition and the staff’s reaction to my age was rude and unprofessional. Charging younger drivers more while restricting vehicle choice and denying the reserved class feels like a bait and switch. If a vehicle cannot be rented under 25, the system should not allow the booking in the first place. Very disappointing experience and not what I expect as an Executive Elite customer. Young drivers go to Hertz!
