Good luck. I got everything done as far as Intoxalock put in. . Then bam ì needed a limited dl application application sent in . Didn’t find out till I got everything else done and now I’m waiting for my stuff to process. Could take over a month so Im basically paying for my man to drive my car while I’m stuck inside. Bc you have to use the Intox a lock or it could ruin your car battery.

My experience with Intoxalock were very disappointing. I was told by a person that I should go with Intoxalock because all of their units were brand new as opposed to other centers where they were refurbished. A refurbished unit was installed in my car. Then I selected an authorized installation location and when they installed the Intoxalock, they stained my headliner in my car and cracked my rear view mirror. This is unacceptable as I’m paying good money for this service!

Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock
How does an interlock device work?
An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. To read more on Intoxalock, you can read our ignition interlock device guide.
What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?
The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
How do I use my interlock device?
Using an IID is simple. To start your vehicle, blow into the device as directed. If the device detects no alcohol, your car will start. You may be prompted for "rolling retests" while driving, where you’ll blow into the device again to confirm compliance. How-to videos are also available on the Intoxalock mobile app.
