The staff was attentive and helpful. The tire replacement was completed in a timely manner and I was quoted an appropriate price to remove lace a headlight that was dimming, also completed in a timely manner. I witnessed another customer struggling to pay with one of those flex-pay programs. Apparently it's a known thing that those are an issue with tire sales, and the NTB techs tried to warn her, but she had no other payment option and proceeded since she's never had issues elsewhere. Well, it took hours and multiple phone calls to the flex-pay customer service before the payment was authorized. The NTB techs followed every instruction they were given by her and by the flex-pay customer service reps, and they waited patiently for the next steps, constantly refreshing the in inbox in hopes of an update, while the customer made snide comments to them - saying that it was their fault even after admitting that they had been given erroneous instructions by the flex-pay reps and repeatedly asking for vouchers for free services due to the difficult time she was having with them. She was understandably frustrated with her flex-pay experience there, but she made it an uncomfortable experience for everyone by leaning on the front counter the entire time and hounding the NTB techs as though it was in their control. They were calm and gracious throughout her abuse. I eventually pointed out to her that she had created a very tense environment there. NTB gets five stars, especially those two techs. I will return and recommend to others. The other customer gets zero stars. I hope to never interact with her again.

We were traveling through the area and our tire was losing air. They got us right in on a Friday at 5 pm. They were able to patch the tire and we were quickly back on the road. The service technicians were very courteous.

I dropped the car off the night before for inspection and installation of used tires. I will admit I got the location wrong. I was in Bethel Park the day before, when looking up calling an NTB, my iPhone used my location and called the local NTB near me at the time. While at work, I received a call from this NTB in Irwin. Unfortunately, I can't recall the name, but he is one of the main employees. I accepted and understood his confusion as to why the car was there since it was at the wrong location. That was an error on my part. However, what he continued to say is the reason for this review. He began by informing me that NTB locations do not install used tires. The employee at the Bethel Park location told me they do, if the tread is good and they are not more than five years old. I had Pirelli tires with 9/32 tread manufactured in 2024 to replace the current Goodyear tires already installed on the vehicle. Knowing the tread on the already installed Goodyear tires could pass inspection, since I checked the tires with a tread indicator all around prior to dropping the car off, I asked if they could still inspect the car without installing the tires. He said no because the installed tires were in really bad shape with “threads” showing! Funny, because I did not get a reading less than 3/32 when I checked the tires the day before. I knew the winter tires were getting close to the state minimum, so that is why I wanted the used tires installed. He then spewed another inane, uneducated statement about another reason as to why he wouldn’t install the tires on the car. He went on to “inform” me that the current tires on the 9x19-inch wheels had a width of 255 and the used tires had a width of 245. So, he would not install them because they would not fit on that wheel. Are you kidding me? I had the slightly wider 255 Goodyears already installed, which was an acceptable option. In fact, anyone with limited knowledge of tires can ask AI, Google search, and learn that there is a range of widths you can install on 9x19 wheels. The BMW X3 actually recommends the 245 width for 19 inch wheels for that model! Lastly, he then started to sell me tires for about $300+ each. I said no thanks, knowing he was talking gibberish from the start. I had a colleague at work take me to pick up my car. The NTB employee was already at the door, handing me the keys. No apology. That same day, through another acquaintance, I was able to take the car to a reputable place in Mt. Pleasant, PA. I had the used tires installed on the rims, and they fit wonderfully. The car was inspected, and the best part is the gentleman at this shop let me keep the disposal fee for the Goodyear tires because he said they had decent tread on them, and he could use them for another car! He also said, the already installed Goodyear tires would have passed inspection! NTB, first, needs to get its story straight across all its stores, since I was told by one that they would install used tires, then by this one telling me NTB does not under any circumstances install used tires. Second, if you are a tire shop, then you should know about tires, especially which tires fit on a variety of wheel sizes and vehicle models! Third, don’t make up stories like the “threads showing” to sell me a set of tires. This was a flat-out lie, or I'm not sure what he thought were threads being seen. Lastly, don’t treat potential customers like they are complete idiots. I could only imagine the stories they tell people to get a sale. Shameful.
