- ERE Riv2 days ago1.0It didn’t take long for this store to become just like every other store in the area!! Incompetent, lazy, and unorganized. The shelves are never stocked correctly and their inventory is always lacking. I was once able to find everything I needed but in the last 5 times I have been there I have walked out empty handed and frustrated. It’s a shame that it has become this way!!

During the freezing temperatures my car wouldn't start so i jumped my battery and ran over to Advance. The 1st employee I communicated with calmed my nerves down and explained things to me, but that 2nd employee made me feel as if he didnt want to help me. No greeting, no warmth to him just a rushed job. When I asked a question I felt I was bothering him. I won't be going back to this store anymore, I'll stick to the stores that are nicer and know how to talk 1st time car owners.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
