- EWEmm WentzMar 6, 20261.0I’m so disappointed.. usually I go in here and have great service. Today I went in asking for a battery, and the woman huffed and said “a new battery..?” I honestly should’ve walked out then. After I told her the make/model/year she said they can’t do the install because it’s the battery is “under a bunch of stuff”, which is odd because I saw the battery with my own two eyes before I walked in.. but I can understand if it’s too complex, at least be try helpful and have a better attitude.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
