- AIAlex IAug 13, 20245.0This past Saturday (August 10th 2024) I noticed the A/C on my car was blowing hot air. So I decided to stop at my local Advance Auto, and I'm glad I did. I had recharged my A/C with cars in the past, but wasn't aware that my car (a 2017 model) required a newer type of hose/recharge combo From the moment I walked in the door, Joe was on duty and greeted me and guided me into the exact products I needed. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and was able to help me get my A/C running ice cold within 10 minutes! I have been to this location numerous times (over 20 years) and the workers were always good, but Joe was GREAT!!! I will definitely return back....5 stars all day long!

What are the signs of a bad car battery?
Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
