I called roadside assistance and they said she would need to get the spare on and go to the Middletown location and they would have a replacement car booked and ready. My wife arrived around 5:00 PM and they told her that they didn’t have a car for her and sent her out into a strange city to go tire shopping for THEIR car!! I was furious, but after spending hours on the phone trying to get customer service… nothing! Finally Katie (a beautiful, caring customer service rep) said she was going to put out an emergency alert to the management team and I WOULD get a call, or possibly 2 ASAP. I have never gotten a call!! Thankfully there was a caring man at a local tire shop that stayed late and put a new tire on for her. Not a sign of concern from Alamo!! Except from Katie (God bless you for trying)! Just know when you rent from Alamo, you are the only customer service you will get!!

I reserved and paid in full prior to pick up, a full size SUV (Tahoe, Expeditin, Armada) when I arrived (7days later) the manger, Benjamin, said he didnt have a full size SUV available and offered a VW Atlas or something similar. I told him that wasn’t big enough. I had 6 people 8 bags and 2 rifles to transport. I asked why he didn’t let me know prior to my arrival . He stated he didn’t have a phone at the airport. I then asked why didn’t I get an email. He stated they didn’t have my contact info. Really. Then I asked for a discount if I took the smaller vehicle. He stated that wasn’t possible. Then I asked him to cancel the reservation, he said he couldn’t do that and my Credit Card Company I paid with had to do cancel it. I called my credit card company and they informed me Alamo had to cancel it to get a refund. The payment was finally refunded 3 days later. Only in part because I asked Benjamin to write a note on his business card confirming he didn’t have my rental available.. Thankfully, I had family close by to pick us up. . After leaving the airport I got online and tried to reserve the exact vehicle for the exact dates and location. Alamos website said they had the vehicle I had been denied available. Maybe Benjamin, the manager, just didn’t like me or the way I looked. I just can’t make sense of it. But it happened.
