  For a Sunoco that is 24 hours, this is the third time I've come at night to find the doors locked. There is someone inside, so in that sense, I suppose it counts as open. But they won't let you in.

  During my seven years in Media, Pennsylvania, I've been a regular visitor to this Sunoco station, primarily due to its convenient location just a few blocks from my home, and more recently because of the delightful presence of an employee named Connie. She always greets customers with warmth and friendliness, brightening even the gloomiest of days. Over the past 4-5 months, I've come to realize that I'm not alone in appreciating Connie's exceptional service; she truly stands out in making each visit personal and enjoyable. I've also learned that many of my neighbors and friends, who were loyal to Wawa as their choice of convenience store, have made an exception for the Sunoco in Media solely because they also enjoy their interactions with Connie, however brief they may be. While my interactions with Connie and other employees have been consistently positive, unfortunately, my recent experiences over the past 5-6 months have been marred time and time again by interactions with another individual, Arlene, whom I believe to be the manager based on her demeanor towards staff. On multiple occasions, I've witnessed Arlene speaking disparagingly to employees, undermining their confidence, and displaying a lack of professionalism, often in front of customers. The final straw for me was witnessing Arlene's reprehensible treatment of an employee, including derogatory remarks and demeaning behavior. Her subsequent comment to me, suggesting that managing the staff was akin to dealing with children, was both offensive and unacceptable. As a result of this incident, I felt compelled to discontinue my patronage of the store. It's my sincere hope that exemplary employees like Connie receive the recognition they deserve, while individuals like Arlene, who misuse their authority to mistreat others, are held accountable for their actions.
