I would like to thank Daniel, the Social Media Specialist, for facilitating this process. Over the course of twelve months, the total cost of having this device in my car was $3,193.01. This amount includes the installation fee, removal fee, battery replacements to support the device, lockout fees when the battery died, and one towing fee for the vehicle. If you read other reviews, you will see that these fees are quite common. It was expensive! I have had this device installed in my vehicle for 12 months without any violations. However, when it was time for Intoxalock to conduct a compliance check to send to the DMV for the device's removal, I received an email stating that I failed the compliance check due to a missed restart two days before the data was pulled. Again, I have not had any violations! I explained that the missed random retest likely occurred after I jump-started my car. The battery died because I hadn’t used the car for several days. I connected the battery to a charger, started the car, and then unhooked the charger. After that, I went back inside my house to grab something. At no point was I driving the car during this time, and the installed camera can easily confirm this. It seems that this company will do anything to extract more money from customers.
