After the appointment, I was informed they don’t have the necessary tools and would need to involve a third-party diagnostic company. This limitation was not disclosed up front, which is the frustrating part. I was fine paying for their own diagnostic and had only asked to be kept informed if it exceeded an hour. Instead, I was told a third party would be required after the fact, and I was still charged a full diagnostic fee even though no new information was provided beyond what I already knew. The issue isn’t that they can’t do SRS work — it’s that this wasn’t communicated before accepting the job. Clear expectations up front would have avoided the frustration.
