We had a broken window on Saturday in the lower rear window of the car. I called Safelite to schedule an appointment for a repair. The first guy tried to transfer my call to the store, but it went through the whole menu again. I got another woman on the customer service line who was very rude and told me that I wouldn’t be able to get an appointment this week or call the store to get the car serviced. So I proceeded to book an appointment for Tuesday online. I received a text message on Monday while I was working asking for further information about the car that were already indicated on the form that was filled out online. Before I got off work, they cancelled my appointment because I did not have a chance to respond to the text message. So I called them asking why they cancelled the appointment. The man on the phone said that they have ordered the part and could schedule an appointment as early as Wednesday. Meanwhile, I already asked off work for the Tuesday appointment, which was very frustrating. Tuesday, I received a message saying that the appointment has been changed a 3rd time to Friday. At this point, I was very frustrated because my appointment was rescheduled 3 times, I called off of work for no reason Tuesday, and I had no explanation of what was happening. So, this is when the positive happened in my experience. I finally found the number for the shop in Lebanon, PA and got ahold of Ken, who happened to be the store manager. He was the first polite, nice person I heard from in this experience and he answered all of my questions very calmly and politely. He explained exactly what was going on and why the appointment kept getting delayed based on the notes they had in their system. The glass that was needed for my car is a special, rare order that takes 5-7 business days to come in. He shared that sometimes it takes longer than the time they promise for this particular glass to come in and was very forward with the fact that we may have to reschedule the appointment one more time if it is not in by Friday. As frustrating as this all was, I was going to write a bad review when I got home. But Ken made it a better review. Thank you for explaining everything in detail and answering all of my questions honestly. And thank you for letting me know that it may take even longer so that my expectations were not out of place. I really appreciate the service you gave over the phone and look forward to finally getting my glass replaced on my car.
