- LCL CookDec 20, 20255.0Went in on a Friday night for a battery. I was met with a polite greeting and waited only a couple of minutes before I was serviced. I didn’t get his name but my sales rep thoroughly helped me and installed my battery within 10 minutes in the freezing cold. Very kind helpful and patient.

Then someone comes on the phone and tells the part I think I need I buy it online cuz I have a coupon. They sell me the wrong part. I call to reconcile they are rude and unhelpful.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
