  Great service, I’ve bought many alternators and starters from here and never had any issues. Bart walked down to my work with me to figure out an issue and ended up giving me a free connector for my starter.

  EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE FIVE STAR SERVICE If you are looking for a friendly, professional and motivated shop- this is it! Bart, Chuck and their team are technologically knowledgeable, courteous and genuinely appreciate their clients! Family owned shop in business for a very long time. We had brought them a 26 year old Bosch alternator from a European version BMW M5. Bart had assured me that even-though there were certain technical differences in parts compared to the USA versions- that they had access to their own extensive parts inventory both in house and from their vendors. This unit was disassembled immediately which shows how serious this shop is about turnaround time! Along with an upgrade for increased output and a modification to allow for a current version rectifier being used, the components were cleaned in a sonic tank and reassembled BETTER THAN NEW! We received excellent communication throughout the process along with photos! This facility was clean and well organized. We were fortunate enough to receive a 24 hour turnaround time and although that may not be the case for everyone- it was clearly obvious that team at Lancaster Starter & Alternator Service makes every available effort to help everyone in a timely manner. If you are a repair shop struggling with parts availability for new or remanufactured units, high cost for replacements- or even an individual trying to get a reasonably priced rebuild done by a LOCAL SHOP who supports LOCAL JOBS- this is clearly the place to go. Bart was also kind enough to show me one of the modern Dodge eTorque Motor Generator Units that they are able to rebuild both at a substantial cost savings compared to new- and with bearing upgrades to correct a common failure point. Regardless of where you are located, you should feel confident sending your parts here for rebuild!

  Great service. Bart took the time to search and find parts for my 56 year old Bosch starter motor. I will be giving them my busisness whenever I can. He also let me know they sell batteries. This is where I will go for replacements from now on.
