  I brought my vehicle to mavis for a quick tire balance and was told that I had many other things wrong with my vehicle and that it was unsafe to drive it the short drive home, and that I needed to have it towed. I had driven there with no problems at all and I told them I would take my chances driving it home anyways. I had my vehicle looked at by my mechanic for a second opinion, and they said everything was perfectly fine. Just needed tire balanced. Either they had the wrong car or were just trying to squeeze money out of me. But I will not be taking my vehicle back

  I came in with some emergent concerns, and they were able to see me immediately. The guys at Mavis were extremely helpful and took care of my concerns. Would definitely recommend to anyone experiencing car troubles!

  I am disgusted. I don't even want to give one star. I came in because I smelled oil in my car and was concerned. My oil cap had popped off and spilled oil. However, I explained that it had to have happened that same day, and I had not driven far. Still, they said everything had to be replaced and said it would be about $1000. Initially, they told me my engine was shot even though no lights came on my dash, the car still started as normal, and there were no noises. I was considering buying a new car because for my vehicle, putting $1000 would not be worth it. I have a family friend who is a mechanic. I explained everything that happened, he asked me follow up questions, and we came to the conclusion that I did not need everything they told me I needed. I tried to call back and discuss replacing the one part, which they wanted to sell to me for $140 when I could get it for $42 elsewhere. At this point, they closed so I could not get my car until this morning. I got my car this morning and went to replace my oil cap and check my oil myself; my oil was full when they told me it was completely empty and I found that they did not put my engine cover back on my car, so I had to go back again to get that. I took my car to a local shop where they fully checked over my car and found nothing wrong; I only got my oil changed, which I needed anyways. They saved me over $900 that Mavis would have charged me to replace things that didn't need to be replaced. I felt belittled from this place as though this were my fault. Mavis couldn't even get their story straight about what was actually wrong with my car and told me 2 or 3 different things that did not line up. I felt taken advantage of at Mavis, and I am glad I took my car somewhere else.
