I will start by saying DO NOT choose interlock if you have another choice. it's one of the worst things you could ever do to put an interlock system in your car. it's clear it's a money-making system it as nothing to do with alcohol. I been using it for 2 months and it cost me over $500 already and I did not drink no alcohol or eat any food that would cost a red flag. when i look in my account it shows that I owned money and when I call interlock, they cannot give a valid explanation how did it happen they keep it like you are talking to automative system all they keep say is u have a lock out. for the Record I am not talking about my installer they were great good people it's best to talk with TC Customize once they can they will 5 STAR.

Very dangerous device, every 8 to 15 minutes you have to blow in the middle of intersection s, parkways and highways, creating a lot of tension and stress because, if you don’t do it on time you get a $100 fine. In the morning you can even use mouthwash because you will felt the test. I can’t use my phone while and driving to avoid an accident, but know the force you to use this device while you driving, which in my opinion it should be illegal. I just hope that I don’t have any accidents while and driving and pick up this device to blow on it.

Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock

How does an interlock device work?

An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?

The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
