- MMMike5 days ago3.0Update: I am updating my review from 1 star to 3 stars. The store manager called us and offered to complete the inspection as originally discussed. He explained the situation and did his best to rectify the issue. Customer service is paramount and should be taken with great care. The manager James literally saved Mavis from a disastrous experience and he should be recognized for his efforts. While I personally will not return to Mavis for any future maintenance, I hope that this becomes a learning opportunity and does not become a trend. Original Review: AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS! We went in for a PA State Inspection and was called back twice to have it rescheduled. When we finally got there, the inspection failed due to bad tires (NOT THE SHOPS FAULT). I replaced the tires with better ones than they had in stock at another shop. My problem was that we were informed that we could simply come back for a quick visual inspection, and if everything checked out, it would be a quick and easy process. The very next day, I called to make sure that the inspector was there and I believe it was him (Andre) who I was talking to on the phone. He told me that we had to schedule an appointment which was totally the opposite of what we were told the previous day. He offered dates into the next month which did not work for us. He also told me that we would not get pulled over since they offered to reinspect if it was within 30 days. I told him to not make promises that he could not keep. We later settled on an appointment for the 30th (end of the month) for us to bring it back in. This is a huge inconvenience as I will have to take a day off work to come in. This shop is poorly managed, and I will never do business with them again.
