- ALAdam LittleApr 27, 20261.0Recently had work done at Mavis Harleysville which included some work on the brakes on our car. After putting around 50 miles on the car one of the brake calipers came loose and created a very dangerous situation that caused the wheel on that side to lock up. This happened while driving the car so it had to be towed . When this happened it seemed like the car had a transmission issue so we had it towed to a transmission shop. Once it was determined the problem was with the brakes I called Mavis to see if this would be covered in any way under the warranty that is stated on the paperwork from the service they did. The first response I got was they “understood” how bad this situation was and the kind of danger our family was put it but there was nothing they would do as far as warranty because we didn’t diagnose the problem correctly on the road and had it towed to another shop. Next they said they would look in to this some more and call right back with an answer . That was 2 weeks ago. One star in this review is too much. Needless to say I would never use this place again. Poor work that created a dangerous situation and then excuses instead of applying the warranty on the work they did.
