we have never ever had any issues with camping world at all. We had always had very good interactions with all of the staff, and that is why we chose to take our camper to camping world to be inspected as we do yearly for the last several years. We recently took our camper to be inspected by camping world - Hamburg Pennsylvania. We waited while our camper was being inspected. The lady comes out and tells my husband that our camper failed. She stated, that there was grease all over the brakes and that the breaks were bad. my husband takes the camper home right away and removes all the tires to see what kind of brakes he needs to purchase. When he looks at the brakes, there's nothing wrong with them and there is NO grease. I immediately called camping world, and ask for a manager, The Lady who answered the phone said that the manager had left for the day and that she would give him a message to call us. meanwhile, my husband took pictures of everything so that he could show the manager. The manager returns our call in two days and informed my husband that he will look at the surveillance Cameras And get back to us. The manager had not called us back so I called and asked for him. I was informed again by the secretary that answered the phone That the manager was busy with customers ( to be expected) And that she could leave him a message. Again, we received no callback so I called again and I told them if I didn't receive a call back that I would be calling Penn DOT And informing them of the situation with the inspection. I received a call back later that same day in the evening from the manager stating that he could not see anything but a tire being wheeled into the bay. The manager asked us to bring her camper up for another inspection by another tech. We ended up taking our camper back up to camping world And having it inspected again. The camper passed the inspection and they had no explanation as to why the woman told us that there was grease and the brakes were bad. We informed camping world that we were not paying for this second inspection due to their error. The manager said that this was OK and that they would eat the cost of the inspection. ** Make sure before you spend thousands of dollars that you either get a second opinion or check it out for yourself before you believe somebody ** I would highly recommend that you ask the tech show you right away What is wrong if you have issues with your camper? Again we had never ever had any issues with camping world But this last experience has us hesitant to ever return to camping world.

Purchased a 2026 Campsite Reserve from Camping World. The sales person was great, Joe. I spoke with another employee at the location regarding the TV remotes that were provided to us by Camping World. The Fire TV remotes does not work for our TV. It is the wrong remote since we bought a floor model and the original remote was lost according to sales. Now we cannot setup our TV. Called their store and the gentleman I spoke to told me there was nothing he could do and basically called me a liar when I told him that we got the remote from their store. I was looking to buy a new one since we are on the road and get store credit. He told me no they will not do that because they can’t verify I got the TV from them. Again called me a liar. Told me I could buy a new one and eat the cost. As a retired law enforcement officer and disabled veteran I felt very discouraged by this behavior and treated poorly. I then spoke to Luke who was willing to help and needed to check with sales. We are also have an issue with our back up camera not connecting. Need to bring it in for service. Not happy with some of the employees behavior.

So being first time camper owners, I should have listened when I was told and read all of the negative comments to avoid Camping World but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Doing our walkthrough they said it was cleaned and they resealed everything. I noticed the vent and vent filter was caked it thick dust. There was grease on the outdoor kitchen panel. The guy doing our walk through couldn’t answer all our questions and just said he didn’t get our unit ready. He told us it was dewinterized, found out later it wasn’t. The fresh water tank was full. We asked them to empty it before left. We found out when we got home, they didn’t empty it. We put the slides out to get ready for our first camping trip, we discovered we had 2 leaks. The first leak was in the main slide. There was a nail sticking out on the top of the slide. The second leak was in the corner of master bedroom. Upon inspection, the seal was cracked. They didn’t reseal anything. We then discovered a yellow stain all over flooring, which doesn’t come out. The curtain rod in the master bedroom was broke. We just got back from our first camping trip only to find out more crap that was broke. The dinette down was down in the bed position since we purchased it. We went to use it, and it was missing parts to hold the table on top. The shower head was broke, water shoots out of the seam on the handle. The LED lights under the awning are falling down. What a joke! How can you say you inspected it? The finance guy was EXTREMELY pushy on the extended warranty. Dave the salesmen was the good part of the experience, but I would never recommend Camping World to anyone. I now understand why people say avoid Camping World.

BUYERS SERIOUSLY READ THIS REVIEW! I went into this experience cautiously because of all the negative Facebook groups and stories about how shady Camping World can be—but I still chose to give them the benefit of the doubt. We had a deal in place and were ready to move forward on purchasing a 2023 Heartland Torque T331—until things took a turn that felt completely wrong. After initially agreeing on the sale, we declined their $2,500 “Let’s Go Camping” add-on package because we simply didn’t want it. Suddenly, we were told that the fridge and stove in the unit were “broken” and would only be replaced if we agreed to purchase that package. When we stood our ground, they pulled the sale altogether. It felt like a bait-and-switch. These issues should have already been accounted for in their pricing or addressed as part of selling a functional unit—not used as leverage to force an unnecessary add-on. Walking away from a sale because a customer won’t buy an overpriced package is unprofessional and raises serious concerns about their business practices. For anyone considering a 2023 Heartland Torque T331, I’d strongly recommend doing a very thorough inspection. In our case, there were clear issues with major appliances that only came to light when we refused the add-on package. That alone is a red flag. Buyers beware and read the fine print, inspect everything carefully, and don’t let yourself get pressured into paying for things you don’t need just to close a deal. Footnote - they will try to sell you a $495, $1,495, $2,495 package. It is listed under on the left side of the quote as OPTIONAL so do not get pressured into thinking its required. Its a legality thing that requires it on the left side according to Jeff their very incompetent sales manager.

This was an absolutely terrible experience and one of the most unprofessional sales interactions I’ve dealt with. We were given two different purchase order totals and asked for a third with a removal of the “let’s go camping” up-sale package. That’s when it all went down hill since our sales rep Naomi was losing that up charge. We placed a deposit on a camper with the understanding that it would be taken off the market while we finalized the purchase. From the beginning, our sales associate, Naomi, aggressively pushed a $2,500 upcharge to cover anything wrong with the camper. In the end referring to it as “standard,” when in reality it is completely optional—they literally ask if you want to add the “Let’s Go Camping” package. She also repeatedly pushed to run our credit, even after we clearly stated we planned to use our own bank. She couldn’t even guarantee their rate would match what we already had once they ran our credit. Thankfully, we didn’t agree—because in the end, she canceled the sale on her own terms, and that would have been a completely unnecessary hit to our credit. When we declined the upcharge and simply asked to inspect the camper before signing, we were suddenly told that both the stove and refrigerator were not working—something that was never disclosed upfront. Instead, we were told those items would only be fixed if we paid the $2,500. That is extremely misleading, especially considering these issues should have been known and disclosed during their appraisal process. We even explained that we may have chosen to replace the refrigerator ourselves and leave the stove as-is, since we don’t use one in a camper anyway. Naomi then took it upon herself to tell us that replacing those items ourselves would exceed $2,500—something she has absolutely no way of knowing. That kind of assumption-based sales tactic is unacceptable. To make matters worse, once you sign the purchase agreement, it reportedly voids any warranty—so even paying the $2,500 comes with no real guarantee. They expect you to just trust that everything will be fixed correctly with zero accountability. The most unprofessional part of this entire situation is that the sales manager then canceled the sale and refunded our deposit without any conversation, simply because we refused the upsell. That is not how you conduct business. Frankly, if Naomi is making decisions based on her own assumptions and canceling deals because she isn’t getting an upsell, she is not fit for sales. This entire experience showed a complete lack of transparency, professionalism, and basic customer respect. ASK FOR A NEW REP IF YOU GET NAOMI - but really just STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS CAMPING WORLD.
