I didn't catch his name, but he was a model employee and so helpful and knowledgeable about everything in the store. Very courteous. Im am glad we went there rather than the store we normally shop. This young man needs a raise so he can finish up his schooling. Advanced auto, you have a gem there. They are hard to find anymore. Treat him well, he is treating your customers well and deserves the same. Thank you for your help young man!!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
