We travel to the US every other year - adn in August we chose to fly up to PA to visit family and drive through the state. Picked up our rental car in Philly and started off for Meadville PA. Roughly 45 minutes into the drive - in the beautiful local areas of PA our rental decides to notify us that is need engine oil (right I know!) Fortunately for us - we pulled off the highway and found Advanced. We normally do not drive this particular vehicle and pulled in asking for assistance. Dylan, took the time to look up the vehicle needs - even went out to put it in the engine - checked we were all good and we were off and running again. Coming from customer service background - it is hard nowadays to find staff that are still in the frame of mind and willing to help the customer - in particular one's that have a vehicle that could have had worse problems due to lack of engine oil in unfamiliar territory. Not a favorable way to start a week vacation. Dylan went above and beyond - and wanted to drop a review for him! Shout out to Dylan! Chris & Rae (Bangkok Thailand!)

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
