They could have simply checked the tires with soapy water or a number of different ways. I also was told I need a new battery for the price of $450. I bought a new battery two days later for half the price at my local auto zone.

The shop manager contacted several other locations before finding one that could assist me. Having a call center making appointments is a terrible idea, as they are not aware of walk in traffic or emergent repairs or any other things that may be going on at a particular shop.
