    Doylestown service crew were terrific from the minute I made the appointment for my car and picked up a loaner. The communication is excellent and I trust their opinion on maintaining my Volvo. I’ve been going to this location for over 15 years and this is my second Volvo because of the excellent service!

    These guys are the kings of the upsale. I was out of town for the summer and my parents were using my older but rare and therefore quite worth it Volvo here to diagnose an oil problem. They charged well into 4 figures for the job and afterwards the problem was not improved in the slightest. The best part was that a few days after this ridiculously costly repair, the timing belt cover (which was removed as part of the job) was sucked into the timing belt, making a cam pulley jump some steps, throwing a light. Some debris got stuck on the brand new idler pulley and wrecked it and the accessory belt. The dealer repaired this for free thankfully (didn't bother to clean the engine bay of blue plastic shavings though), but this just shows the quality of work that was performed in the first place. When I got back, saw the bill and confronted the shop about it, they gave me some BS about how this repair had to be done before other options for repairing the car could be explored. What I got out of the whole thing was that these people are used to dealing with moneyed retirees (unfortunately the main clientele of Volvo) who will pay anything just to get their car fixed. People with a "It didn't work? Ok bring it back until it does, I don't have anywhere to go anyway" sort of mentality. If you don't have that kind of money, go find an honest mechanic that won't charge your pants off.
