Not the worst experience but I’ll never return. Long story short after purchasing 4 new tires one was a dud. They didn’t believe me that it was defective and waited till warranty ran out to then confirm the tire was defective. Proceeded to charge me for one single tire which cost half of what the 4 new tires cost. I’m a dad and for weeks had no car mid winter due to this tire. Day care drop off, tire flat, now me and my toddler walk home in the snow.

I had two damaged tires and called the Baltimore Pike location. It was so convenient and the crew is so friendly! I didn’t have an appointment but they were able to get me in almost immediately. They did everything possible to help each customer who came in while I was waiting (including helping calm a customer who was worried about her car) and by the time I got out of there I was telling the assistant manager Vince to have a great time at dinner. It was a great experience and I got a roadside warranty for the future!

I brought my vehicle in at approximately 5:00 PM April 15th after noticing that the fan continued running after the car was shut off. Additionally, the car stalled once as I entered my neighborhood but restarted immediately. Due to these concerns, I requested that diagnostics be run and that I be informed of any resulting codes. The following morning, I called for an update and was told that there were too many codes to interpret and that the vehicle needed to be sent to a dealership for transmission-related issues. This alarming and premature conclusion caused unnecessary panic and led me to begin arranging a tow to a Buick dealership. Later that afternoon, around 3:00 PM, I received a call from Omar, who provided a completely different assessment. He stated that no codes could be retrieved, that the car had only just been looked at, and that the issue was related instead to the mass air flow sensor, fuel inducer, and air filter. He also indicated that no one had evaluated the vehicle earlier that morning, directly contradicting the information I had already been given. Based on his explanation, I reluctantly approved the recommended repairs. After the work was completed, I was then informed that the fan relay was faulty and needed replacement—despite the fact that this was the original issue I reported when I brought the vehicle in. When I pointed this out, I was told the system attributed it to a stall, which is inconsistent with the written notes entered by Johnny clearly documenting the fan running after shutdown. I was subsequently charged for an additional part tied to a problem that was explicitly reported from the outset. This sequence of conflicting statements, lack of internal communication, and shifting explanations is unacceptable. It reflects either a serious breakdown in process or a deliberate attempt to justify unnecessary work and charges. This situation demonstrates a clear lack of professionalism, transparency, and integrity in handling my vehicle and communicating with me as a customer.

I scheduled an appointment to get my brakes inspected. The service technician explained what was going on and my options. I appreciate him taking time to go in depth with the information. His level of customer service was greatly appreciated. I will be using this Mavis location for all my tire and maintenance needs. I will also recommend Mavis to my friends and family.
