Intoxalock is the worst!!! I was supposed to have my box for 1 year! It turned into almost 2 with this company! I paid every payment ON TIME and never missed a calibration or had any issues on MY end! I've had several problems with this company but the biggest one is it took a whole EXTRA YEAR for them to help me get my box out. They blamed penndot and penndot blamed them. Come to find out it was INTOXALOCK they just wanted me to pay more money. Finally I called the better business bureau and filed a report. I got a call back the next day and within that same month I got the box out!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous and the customer service people are no help. Not their fault they're probably trained to just keep making people pay! Please for the love of God don't make the same mistake I did. Go with another company. This company owes me over $600!!!!! For all the payments I made after I was supposed to be done with the box! Dui was totally my fault and I accept that and paid my dues. I was a heroin addict (sober almost 4 years now) and I didnt have an ounce of alcohol in my system. Pennsylvania is all about money so to have a license I had to get an alcohol monitor when I've never been a drinker. Anyways I own my faults so I think INTOXALOCK SHOULD PAY THEIR DUES AND OWN UP TO THEIRS AND PAY ME MY MONEY BACK! God bless and please don't get wasted and drive! 💜🙏🏻💪🏻

I have my regular license in hand but, I can not get a response as to when I can go for the removal but they will however be sure to always let you know when you owe money. If they drag their feet till my next bill is due, I will remove the device myself and drop it off at the garage.

Absolutely HORRIBLE!! You can't speak to anyone who you can understand after the your signed up n have this device installed, in fact you can never get to speak to that person again and when you try to email that person you will never get a response. I think the company must have outsourced the customer service personnel from India. The entire experience has been unbelievably terrible. I would NEVER recommend Intoxalock to anyone n also the service center they send me to filled out all my cerifcation information wrong. Then I had to go 35 minutes back to the service station becauas of there error and it delayed me sending my all of my paperwork to the state by at least a week. Honestly I would make sure to never recommend them to anyone. I'm so against these companies who make u talk to someone you cannot UNDERSTAND and there are so many of them. When so many Americans are in need of work, it's sickening, plain n simple.
Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock
How does an interlock device work?
An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. To read more on Intoxalock, you can read our ignition interlock device guide.
What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?
The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
How do I use my interlock device?
Using an IID is simple. To start your vehicle, blow into the device as directed. If the device detects no alcohol, your car will start. You may be prompted for "rolling retests" while driving, where you’ll blow into the device again to confirm compliance. How-to videos are also available on the Intoxalock mobile app.

What happens if I fail a breath test on my ignition interlock device?
