We had a tire blow out and were able to get an appointment at Monro in Bethlehem PA. Unfortunately they tried forcing brakes on me and when I declined the manager and employee tag teamed me about it. I agreed to Pads only eventually and then they stated they couldn’t in good faith do pads only because the rotors had grooves in them. We went forward albeit reluctantly and to the tune of $1100 we had 1 tire and the rear brakes done. At this point I was brought in the garage bay and told my car, a Ford Expedition 2014 weighed too much for the lift. They told me I would have to empty my car. I exclaimed that we only had a bike rack a couple bags and a few new kitchen items after visiting family (ie blender, tea kettle, etc.). The manager and employee insisted they have had many larger trucks and similar SUV’s which had no problem on their lift. They got on a ladder looked in the window to see what was in the car, lowered the car down and opened the doors to “see what was so heavy”. I again stated I doubt it would be that much weight compared to the lift capacity. The manager stated the lift has a max weight of 12000 lbs and sometimes it can be less. He then looked in the door and saw the SUV weighed approx 7000 lbs. This would mean I would have had to have close to 5000 lbs in the vehicle(obviously not correct). The employee snarky as ever stated they could move another vehicle out and bring ours into that garage bay to see if the lift would hold the vehicle. I went inside to the waiting area at this point. The waiting room has an open door behind the counter leading into the garage bay and full window view of the vehicles being serviced. I overheard the two employees talking after moving the car. One stated the lift was broken and he had identified the problem while the other one used the lift with no problem on my vehicle. Not a single apology delivered to me after holding up the service and insisting my vehicle was a problem delaying service. Ultimately they finished and I paid. We drove back home to western PA 325 miles away. The next morning when leaving our house the car began making a terrible scraping sound and our local mechanic stated the right rear brake pad was not in place and we now will need an additional rotor and brake pad replacement. 10/10 do not recommend this Monro location.

The mechanics were busy and it was so hot out but the service was excellent. I left my car there for the day and got 4 tires, an alignment and an oil change and they gave me a great deal. Car drives perfectly and it's very happy!

I bought tires here about two months ago but the other day when I was driving through one of those alley streets in Allentown, I noticed a clunking sound and then my tire light came on. I took it to Monroe and they were super busy but they still took the time to fit me in. They ended up fixing my tire and they had me in and out in a couple minutes. Positive experience.
