Bought a defective can of fix a flat which blew up when I used it in the parking lot. When I tried to return it, they made me go outside in the rain and dig through the trash to find my receipt even though it was literally two minutes after buying it. I gave them the receipt and went back to the parking lot, the girl followed me out and demanded I come back in and “finish the transaction”, when I refused she accused me of stealing merchandise and flipped me off.

After I wrote a detailed email to the address AutoZone mentions below, AutoZone said they passed my info has been "forwarded to the Regional Office for further review and assistance." I never heard back from anyone at AutoZone and no one addressed my issues.
So I wrote back to the customer service rep and told her no one has contacted me, TWICE. She assured me I would hear from them. I never did. AutoZone should call themselves"Pass the Buck" because no one gets back to you regarding your complaint.
I recently had a very bad experience at the Auto Zone on Stefko Blvd. I bought a pair of Rhino Ramps lifts to lift my ride on mower so I could work underneath it at this location. My neighbor gave me his ramps so I never used these Rhino Ramps. I went into the store to return these unused Ramps. This was on a Friday evening. The manager told me he was unable to accept my return. He hadn't even seen my return since I left my Rhino Ramps in my trunk. His explanation was so weak, I really didn't understand it. He said if the ramps were used then that would be bad for the store to accept them. I said they weren't used and in fact, had the original packaging on them. People assume purchasing an item at a retail store is generally covered under a return policy. I told him the checkout person should tell the purchaser the ramps are unreturnable or at least have a sign stating such.
I went out to my car and googled "will auto zone accept my Rhino Ramps for return?" The Autozone website and it's return policy both say AutoZone does accept Rhino Ramps. Later, when I called the toll free line, the rep also said my unused Ramps should be accepted. Nonetheless, this manager still wouldn't accept my return. Unheard of since the website, corporate, and their own return policy says it's acceptable. Ultimately, I returned my Ramps at the Linden St location and they gladly took them back no questions asked. I doubt I'll return to this Stefko AutoZone because of such uninformed, unnecessary customer service. I've never heard of a night manager over ruling corporate, the website, and Auto Zones return policy to tell me they won't accept my unused Ramps. He wouldn't even look at them.
