- SFSue FeixJan 2, 20261.0We stopped in a few days ago for a bulb for a car headlight. We had just recently changed the other side. Knowing not to touch the bulb owning a lighting store ..my husband purchased one and I replaced it. We'll this time it didn't light up. We pulled it out took it into the store and the lady at the counter..I asked if it was a good bulb. Well yes it came out of a package. I explained it's not working...I was holding the bottom not the bulb..she got all screaming Don't touch the bulb..we can't refund you it's out of the package. I said again can u test it or tell me if it's a good one? She said you will have to take your car to someone to test the electrical side...that's probably something like that. Thinking great we are retired just paid for new brakes..something else before xmas. So we waited made an appt at a shop that checks the car on machine..thinking $$. Well we ended up paying an extra 50 for the checkup and another new bulb. I think we were worried about the outcome for days. I ended up trying to sell some things to pay for the couple hundred they mentioned. All of this could have been avoided.
