- DBDave BergeronMar 21, 20261.0They should change their name to the wiper store. I grew up working on cars and I can't believe what we have today is allowed to be called auto parts stores. I went into 2 different autozone stores in the last 24 hours looking for an Edelbrock carburetor and a few other things.....not one employee knew what I was talking about. Everyone just kept asking me what year to look up on their computers and for a make and model. They've changed the systems so much so that literally anyone could run them, and at the cost of actually teaching their employees how to do what they're doing. All of this failure is on the company, and not the employees which are mostly young kids, seemingly with no interest in cars past getting to work. I stood there while a young man absolutely drowned behind a glitchy computer monitor trying desperately to help me while people stacked up behind me and the phone endlessly rang. In the end I just told him not to worry about it, and walked out hands empty even though I needed about $500 worth of parts, cause it was going to be too much of a hassle and to be honest I may as well have been speaking Greek. I know now to just stay home and order all my parts off of Summit or Amazon and avoid the trouble. Maybe I'll stop on again sometime and buy wipers...... but probably not.
