About a month later, when the rainy season started in Oregon, I noticed water leaking into the interior of my car. At first, I thought the issue might be related to the sunroof drains, so I went to independent mechanics. They cleaned the drains but confirmed that the leak was not coming from there. I then contacted Safelite and explained that water might be entering the cabin due to the windshield replacement. Safelite inspected the car and told me everything was fine and that there were no issues with their work. Two weeks later, a crack appeared on the windshield. Before returning to Safelite, I went to an independent auto service for another inspection. They confirmed that the leak was caused by improper windshield installation, resulting in failed sealing, which allowed water to enter the vehicle. Safelite eventually replaced the windshield again, but they did not compensate me for my lost time, nor for the cost of drying the interior of my car. They only gave me a small drying packet, which is not a real solution considering the damage and inconvenience caused. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience. If you don’t want to risk water leaks and interior damage, I would not recommend replacing your windshield here.

Shout out to Kenneth (shop manager) he was patient with all my questions and I felt heard and understood in what I wanted done. I will be coming back once I need more window work done.
