It only came up in casual conversation after the windshield was installed where I noticed something about the grid pattern of the warming wires looked slightly different. The process of making a claim doesn't alert you that they are planning to use non OEM glass which by the technicians on admission is often not the same standard and sometimes has sensors missing .. even if the glass is made by the same glass company. We had a car in the past where the replacement didn't come with the rain sensor and so now the automatically wipers don't work. For my current change, not sure if anything is not working properly but I can tell you it's been a pain to try and get someone to approve OEM glass after the fact. Maybe some of this blame belongs to the insurance company but Safelite and the Insurance company work together so I see them as one and the same on this lack of disclosure. The insurance company knows what they're approving, safelite knows what they are installing, but no one tells you anything. Also, when the thief broke my back window glass shared into places that the technician had a hard time reaching. He explained they would fall out eventually but so far all I have is a bunch of broken glass shards rattling when traveling at high speeds. If the rattling doesn't stop soon I will have to get this resolved OEM glass or not. For now, 2 1/2 stars because the installation itself and the attitude of the technician and just the convenience of it all was excellent.
