Very poor customer service and call in user interface. Very difficult to contact real persons for complex issues outside their specific options. Failed to submit all the paperwork needed to show I completed my obligations to court/DMV. If you need to call in for anything, top tip: Select their billing department, you WILL get a human and shorter waiting times. Just because you made a bad decision, you are still a paying customer to them. Look at all their bad reviews which are responded to with the same generic apology and phone # which is awful interface. That tells you all you need to know.

Not forthcoming with all of the fees associated with having the device. I continuously get fees that are attached to my bill that were not disclosed to me when I decided to go with the company. Even after asking several associates about my upcoming bill and how much I'll be charged, they quote me something, but then my next bill I find a new charge on it. This has happened four times now. Also they tell you how much a calibration charge will be only to find out the it's actually more than what they say it will be, and that is multiple people, including the salesperson who gets you to buy the device, within the company quoting you the same price. Also they say the device is discreet which in no way it is discreet. It's big and bulky and extremely noticeable.
They bag on other companies boasting their company is the best with the latest technology, however that is not the case at all. The GPS drains your battery so that one cannot even go on a vacation for several days with out having someone blow into the device ,because if you don't, you'll be in violation of not testing, and you'll get a lockout notice and will have to pay $75, plus an extra $3 for a workorder, on top of what the company that resets your device's fee which is not what said company told you it would be. This company is the WORST company and full of a bunch of crooks! If I could take this thing out without having to have more fees attached to go with another company I would. Unfortunately I am stuck with these corrupt people for the next year. And yes, I made a mistake, but these people screw you over big time! ABSOLUTELY DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY if you ever get into trouble! There are better places out there to get a blow n go!

Literally have video proof of your machines turning off and on not letting me blow saying stop blowing on retest for 5 minutes and shuts off and vibrates on and off on and off and they gave me a violation and redo my 90 days a couple days away from getting it out! Faulty machines and treat me like I’m the victim when for a year I’ve provided clean samples and followed your rules and very clear videos of the system shutting down on me isn’t enough!
Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock
How does an interlock device work?
An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. To read more on Intoxalock, you can read our ignition interlock device guide.
What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?
The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
How do I use my interlock device?
Using an IID is simple. To start your vehicle, blow into the device as directed. If the device detects no alcohol, your car will start. You may be prompted for "rolling retests" while driving, where you’ll blow into the device again to confirm compliance. How-to videos are also available on the Intoxalock mobile app.

What happens if I fail a breath test on my ignition interlock device?
