- RBRachel BrighouseDec 12, 20251.0I got my oil changed here a few months ago, and everything was fine until two weeks ago when I was slowing down after exiting the freeway only to realize that my brakes stopped working and my car was shaking. By the grace of God I was able to pull over without crashing. My boyfriend checked under the hood of my car and saw that my engine oil was completely dry. We added more oil to the engine but my car was still shaking. Once I got a tow home, we were able to see that my engine oil was leaking. The next day, we got my car up on some ramps and my friend checked under the car to see that the oil filter was LOOSE. He was able to screw the oil filter back on just by hand, and the leaking completely stopped. So the reason my engine oil leaked out was because my oil filter was not screwed on properly!! Now I have to spend thousands of dollars to buy a COMPLETE NEW ENGINE. If you’re thinking about getting your oil changed here, DON’T. Go somewhere else. Thank God I wasn’t trying to brake on the highway or things could’ve gone much worse.

I watched them say the lights were done without actually checking them. They left grease under the hood, and when I asked for a wipe-down, they used a dirty, oily paper towel that made it worse. They also gave incorrect information about mileage intervals, insisting they “only do 3,000 miles,” even though every other Valvoline I’ve been to puts 5,000 on the sticker. When checking my oil level, the tech didn’t use a towel and let oil drip into the engine bay. They also didn’t ask to reset my oil change reminder, which other locations always do without me needing to mention it. It wasn’t one small mistake, it was the whole experience. Sloppy work, rushed attitude. Other Valvoline shops do much better. This location needs improvement.

- DNDarith NgounNov 18, 20255.0Being a former employee at VIOC in a SoCal service center, I tend to have a little chip on my shoulder when I stop at any location ready to judge. But this location did great, even on a Sunday where nobody wants to work, the CSA Zack did a great job of informing me the process and what services I needed for my car, even knowing I was a former employee, he asked me kindly if i want to go thru the whole process or not. Bottomside tech informed the topside of the EL, PL, all the other crazy leaks i had on my beater suv. The whole process was smooth, only thing i wished and its not any of the techs fault were that they offer tire rotations at this location. Itll really help out with their NOCRs, but thats just me, I still have some tendencies of being a CSA to get some high tickets haha
