- LMLindsay MacInnisSep 25, 20255.0My first experience at this location was for an annual inspection for Lyft, a year ago. So, I went back for this year’s inspection. Todsy, I needed a Smog test, whike doing the intake, I mentioned an inconsistent electrical issue that started after the replacement of the catalytic converter at a different Point S location. When my car couldn’t pass DEQ because of the warning lights being on, Jeremy put his detective hat on to solve the puzzle. He looked up the car’s maintenance history, he asked to look at the paperwork from the cat/conv replacement. If they did not replace a certain sensor, that could be what’s triggering the warning lights. A few hours later, the oxygen sensor has been replaced and I’m back on the road. Jeremy said to drive it 100 miles and we’ll try the DEQ test again. It’s taken 4 years in Portland to find a mechanic who doesn’t feel the need to be opportunistic and unethical to run a successful auto repair & tire shop. I think I found my car peeps! I drove 30 miles after I left the shop - so far no warning lights! Fingers crossed for tomorrow.
