  Beware of extra charges from this company. I crossed the Hood River Bridge in my Enterprise rental car and was charged a traffic citation amount of $31.50 (for a crossing fee that would otherwise have been $3.50) and an additional $25 by Enterprise's EAN agency for making the payment on my behalf. Total BS bill of $56.50 for what should have been $3.50. What a rip off. I will not be renting with them again.

  I've had nothing but good experiences renting from Enterprise at PDX. When picking up your car, there's always multiple people waiting to greet you, always pleasant and friendly. From there, you get to pick a car in an aisle that matches the car type you selected. Cars I've received have all been good - no issues there. When returning, the bunch of guys I've run into when dropping off the car couldn't be nicer. Just very, very friendly and very efficient. I don't know if it's the hiring, training, or something else, but it's a good group and I've been through here several times the last couple months, so it's not the same person over and over. I used to rent regularly with another car rental company who shall not be named (Avis), until I finally had too many horrible return experiences (i.e. no attendants, masses of people waiting, long lines to park, etc.), so it's a nice change to find a location like this that runs like a well oiled (and friendly) machine.

  On pick up, the counter staff was pushy and told me more than once I would be responsible for any damages because I didn’t buy the damage package! Then at the end of checkout he again was extremely pointed as to intimidate me into damage protection. I rent in Portland at least once a month, usually from SIXT . Also I have my own insurance that covers, plus my credit card benefits also covers damage to car rentals. I seriously don’t appreciate being communicated in a way that the counter staff talked to me. However all the staff out in the garage were the car was, were amazing! That one staff member killed my business with this company. Don’t push insurance I don’t need down my throat and then try scare tactics when I’ve declined twice!

  Flying across the country to be with you kid when he’s having brain surgery is as stressful as it gets. Throw in flight cancellations and all the garbage a winter storm can throw at you and it sucks. The people at Portland Airport Enterprise were amazing! Can’t thank them enough! The wonderful lady who made sure my reservation was kept during countless delays to the guy who upgraded me to a brand new 4 wheel drive beautiful truck - I’m disabled and sure appreciated the ease of getting in and out like I have at home… He didn’t charge me for the upgrade. I can’t put in to words how much this one act of kindness impacted my trip. It wasn’t just a truck, it was mobile stress relief. He was an Angel sent from God. Thank You Portland AirPort Enterprise!! A well oiled machine of people who care and who are great at what they do!

  Booked a reservation online ahead of my trip and when we arrived, their system was down and we had to write down our info on paper. A lot of people were in line so it took almost an hour to get the car. Months later I was charged $25 related to crossing the Hood River–White Salmon Bridge during my trip. The actual toll for the bridge was $10.50 total. After several attempts to ask for an itemized invoice, Enterprise sent me the toll invoice from the bridge, confirming the toll amount, but refused to provide any itemized breakdown explaining why I was charged $25. Customer service gave inconsistent and confusing explanations, including references to Chicago-area policies that had nothing to do with my rental, and ultimately stated the $25 was a “one-time administrative fee” that could not be reduced or waived. This fee was not disclosed or itemized in the rental agreement’s summary of charges and appeared long after the rental was returned. What is most concerning is that today, 2/2/26, I received a toll invoice directly from the Port of Hood River stating that the toll is still owed, meaning Enterprise charged me $25 but did not actually take care of the toll payment as implied. I was never issued a citation or violation by any toll authority — this was a normal, posted toll. The lack of transparency, failure to clearly explain or itemize charges, and now apparent failure to resolve the toll itself makes this experience extremely frustrating. I would not recommend Enterprise.
