  This place was recommended by a friend and the service was excellent very efficient in and out super fast. But when I got in my truck to leave is when this went bad I noticed that there was dirt on the outside door handle and when I got inside it was much worse and just so I am clear when I say drirt I mean sand and grease from the start button, shifter steering wheel, seat and inside door handle I was furious pulled up to the door went inside told the very nice lady at the desk I will never be back and explained why and left. Keep this in mind when taking your vehicle here.

  Great experience with this shop this evening. After receiving less than stellar service from our regular shop, we searched for another option. Liz responded promptly to an email request for a quote for 4 all season tires. Ordered, received and installed all in one day. Staff were friendly and helpful during the process. Vibe seemed authentic and genuine. Would return to this shop for other vehicle maintenance.

  Excellent service. In Whitby for the weekend from Ottawa and needed tire service. Took me in right away. Super friendly service. Got me back on the road! Super grateful.

  Van Hemmen tires saved me. I had an appointment at another tire shop to have snow tires installed they messed me up I showed up and said they didn’t have the tires in stock and had to cancel the appointment I went to Van Hemmen right away as it was on along the way home from work and Chris was super friendly told him the whole situation and gave me a quote for tires and installation I then shopped around for tires found a set at Canadian tire and emailed van hemmen to see if they can get me in asap. Chris called me but wasn’t able to take the call I returned his call and Liz told me if I would like to come today Saturday November 15th I would be in an out within a hour I immediately ran to Canadian tire to pick the tires I will ordered and made my way to Van hemmen Liz and Chris were ready signed me in took my key right away after getting my info my vehicle was in their shop within 10 minutes and I was out within an hour I highly recommend van hemmen Chris and Liz area very professional and friendly made my day better big shout to them for saving my day and the struggle to get an appointment to have snow tires installed. Also big shout to their technician Mark for being quick but professional with my vehicle really appreciate the work guys

  I had a really disappointing experience at this shop. I initially called ahead and was told they could likely fit my car in that afternoon. I even called back to confirm that if they were too busy, I could leave the car overnight for the next day. The first person I spoke to was fine with this, but when I arrived, the staff on site were extremely rude and dismissive. They wouldn’t even let me park briefly to guide my wife in, and then they outright refused to even look at the slow leak issue I mentioned once I dropped the car off. Instead, they focused on telling me my tires were too old and tried to upsell me on new ones. Now, I understand the tires might be old, and maybe that’s a valid point, but I’ve had other shops put them on without any issue. It felt more like they just didn’t want to deal with me because I wasn’t buying new tires and they were at capacity. In the end, they didn’t even bother to check the leak I asked about because they said my treadware on my current tires was too low... and just left me waiting on the phone for ages only to tell me they couldn’t help. Thats a first for me where a shoo wont even look at a tire because theyre old and ive been to lots of shops over the years. Overall, the whole experience was just unprofessional and frustrating. I've been to plenty of other mechanics who at least treat you decently and are willing to communicate, take pictures of damage, treat you like a human lol. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Seems sketchy ngl. I came here in a pinch. Never ever coming back. Telling my community the same.
