  Worst car rental in Thunderbay!! Using the national car rental's website, I made a reservation for a premium SUV, and I received an email confirming the reservation. nine hours after receiving the email confirmation. I received an email from the rental company staff informing me that the car I booked is not available. I'm not sure why utilizing their website to book a car is worthwhile. They will first confirm through email that the car will be reserved for us and after hours the staff will email that it is not. So please don't do the mistake I did by choosing this car rental. Thank you NATIONAL CAR RENTAL

  I'm a non smoker. But yet they charged me $282.50 for smoking in the car. They say the car had cigarette ashes and smelled of smoke. I call BS. I'm a runner, fitness instructor. I would know if the car smelled like smoke. People... if you're going to rent from here have their attendant come inspect the car or take pictures when you return it!!!! I'm. So pissed off!!

  I have rented cars here for years to travel on trips both inside Canada and to the USA. The people at National in Thunder Bay have always been kind and courteous. I am often offered an upgrade but even when I'm not the vehicles are clean and well maintained and have never broken down. I have had issues at other locations with cars that are old and worn, but never here. I usually rent through air miles and there has never been a problem with getting my car. Very pleased with National.
