First of all, this location is NOT AT 252 Stewart Street any longer, even though Google still shows it as their address and even their corporate emails for reservation confirmation still indicate that as their business address. This is a massive oversight, and can lead to confusion and issues with pickup/drop off as it states to pickup and drop off at 252 Stewart Street. They are now located inside of Barker’s Collision Centre.
My major issue today came from the lack of professionalism, and tardiness of their employee, John, who frankly shouldn’t work a job without support or supervision. He was absent from the building until 8:50AM (they open at 8:30AM). The two people in front of me waiting had been there for a while and both of them were met with no available vehicles that were clean or ready to go, so John had to leave again to go clean the first client’s car. When he finally got around to the second client, after 20 more minutes, she was told there was only one option ready to go and because she was on time constraints (she was already nearing an hour late) and the vehicle ready was not what she reserved, she left to return later when a car was ready.
Once I was finally served at 9:30AM (my booking was for 8:30AM) I was told the vehicle I reserved and HAD CONFIRMATION OF was never available at their location, again, it was reserved and confirmed. The employee, John, then lied to me and said they called me last week to tell me this, I NEVER received such a call, nor did my emergency contact, and I booked on Friday around 3:30/4pm so they wouldn’t have had time to call me as they are closed on the weekends. This employee LIED to my face to avoid accountability and gaslight me.
The icing on the cake, I called corporate to remedy the issue and was told I would hear back from a manager of the company to get me in another car ASAP, and as I write this (nearly 6hrs later) I have NOT received so much as a text or email about the issue.
Enterprise has never fallen this short on service or promise before and I am unsure what has caused this besides pure incompetence and poor practices of professionalism.
You lost yourselves a customer as AVIS was able to get me in a car, FOR CHEAPER, right away when you failed to remedy the situation, and I will continue to use them, with their 5 star reviews, going forward.
Disgusting operations and terrible customer service almost caused me to miss the important event I had today.
