Feeling really disappointed.
I’ve been bringing both my car and my son’s to Currie Tires for years, but two back-to-back experiences just convinced me never to return.
First issue:
My son’s Outlander PHEV had a simple fuel cap cover problem. I explained it clearly, they ran a scan, did nothing, and charged $136, then told us to go to the dealership. We went to Mitsubishi—literally down the same street—and they fixed it for $40.
Still hoping it was just a one-off, I booked another appointment for a different car for Dec 1, 2025. Before handing over the car, I explained everything again: the car was already scanned in Ottawa, I brought all the parts the dealer ordered for us, and I only needed the car to pass a safety check.
To my surprise, Currie Tires ran another scan, didn’t install any of the parts I brought, did zero work, and still charged $189. When I asked why they didn’t tell me upfront they weren’t authorized to work on BMWs—so I wouldn’t waste time and money—the only response I got was… a smile.
Honestly, that was the last straw.
I originally went to Currie Tires because a friend recommended them, and every time I’m there, I see many elderly customers. After what I experienced, I truly feel sorry for them.
