  Excellent service and generally economical price, but be aware that you cannot drive out of Ontario and have to pay to use 407.

  Top to bottom, my experience with Green Motion was awful. I was thinking of the best way to capture my thoughts and instead of sequentially talking through everything that went wrong, I've organised it by the poorest experience for me first. On the 4th night of my rental, there was snowfall in Toronto,. When I walked out to the car to head off to an appointment, I was surprised to see how much it had snowed. But what I was more surprised by was that there was no snow brush in the car. How the rental service can send out a car in April in Toronto without a snow brush is beyond me. I had to shuttle between my home and the car with glasses and Tupperware of hot water to clear the snow and melt the ice. This was unbelievable to me. I have driven in Ontario for 12 years and NEVER would I ever think of leaving my car without a brush. On winter unpreparedness, there was more. It was very clear that the car was not equipped with winter tyres. Anyone who lives in Ontario knows that below around 7 Celcius, winters greatly improve traction and provide a much safer ride. In the obvious pursuit of cost-cutting, Green Motion had neglected to carry this out. Combined with the lack of a snow brush, I felt completely unprepared to deal with the winter weather at the beginning of spring. Both of these are unacceptable to me given the timing of the rental. The other big flaw I noted was a repeated warnings from the car that it was due for an oil change. Of course, I was not going to change the oil but if the oil hadn't been changed it made me wonder what other routine maintenance had been skipped by the rental service. Was this car actually safe to drive? My final gripe was about the shuttle service. I knew that I was choosing an off-airport location to save some money, but I thought the service would make up for the distance. It took the shuttle 25 minutes to show up after I first called for a pickup. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt in case there was traffic, but the return trip from Viscount Station to Green Motion only took 4 minutes (this was also true after I dropped off the car and was driven to Viscount). What was the shuttle driver doing for the other 21 minutes? If you're off-airport, your shuttling should be top-notch. Instead it was just another failing in my experience with Green Motion. NEVER AGAIN will I use this service. You should not either.

  First time renting a car with them and I had a good experience. They gave me and upgrade with a better car with only 13k kilometres. I did all the process with Alex, cool guy that made my process easy and fast. No problems when I returned the car, It took me 10 minutes. The only thing that I don’t give 5 stars is because the car was not so clean, it was a dirty.

  Special thanks to Sarqib and Alex. Like most of you I have nightmare stories of how horrible car rentals companies are all over the world; it’s perhaps the worst industry for fake surprise charges. Alex explained everything in a very upfront and fair manner; he’s a honest, straightforward, master communicator. Customer service was amazing (which is rare in this industry). Then I had to extend (twice), normally this is an issue, either having to bring the car in (I was stuck 300 kms away) or the price gouge. Not only was it the listed price on their site, Sarqib pleasantly and efficiently helped me to extend both times in less than 5 minutes, over the phone. Zero hassle. I still need to see what the return is like, will update the review at that time. Based on my experience so far, I highly recommend this location.
