    This location is a complete scam and should not be allowed to operate at an international airport. I prepaid online for my rental. My flight was delayed, which is normal and out of my control. When I arrived, they told me my reservation would only be honored if I paid almost five times the original price. Same car. Same dates. Just a massive price increase because they thought I had no choice. I pushed back and called Alamo corporate customer service right there at the counter. Corporate clearly told me that my prepaid rate must be honored. The employee at the desk said, word for word, “Corporate can’t do anything now. I’m making the final decision.” The employee’s name was Tiki. He was not a manager, just front desk staff, yet he refused to honor the reservation and refused to rent me a car at all. As I was leaving after being denied a car I already paid for, he flipped me off. This is not a misunderstanding or a policy issue. This is bait and switch behavior. They take your money online, wait until you are tired and stranded at the airport, try to force an outrageous price increase, and if you refuse, they deny service and treat you with disrespect. In my opinion, this employee should be fired, and this location should be investigated. This is some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Do not rent from Alamo at Toronto Pearson Airport. Prepaying means nothing. Corporate support means nothing. You will be treated badly and may be left without a car. Avoid this place at all costs.

    Excellent experience with this car rental location. The service at the counter was fabulous—the staff was very friendly, clear, and helpful at all times. The rental process was quick and easy, much simpler compared to other places where it usually takes longer or feels more complicated. Everything was well explained and hassle-free. Definitely an efficient and highly recommended service. I would rent here again without hesitation.

    Unable to pickup the vehicle. I presented my valid British Columbia Class N driver’s licence. While I understand that Alamo may have internal policies regarding licence types, the way this was handled by the front-desk staff was extremely unprofessional. Instead of clearly explaining the policy, the staff repeatedly referred to my licence as “the purple one” and said “you know what I’m talking about,” without providing any proper explanation or assistance. The communication was dismissive and inappropriate, especially for a late-night airport location dealing with arriving passengers

    I made a simple mistake choosing the pickup location through a third party, but Alamo showed zero flexibility in helping correct it. Because of this, I spent my holiday traveling back and forth just to pick up and return the car, plus paid extra Uber costs on top of it all. This was extremely frustrating and took away from my vacation. Be very careful when booking — don’t expect any accommodation if something goes wrong. I’ll definitely be sharing this experience so others are aware.

    UPDATE: I’m changing this to 5 stars after a follow-up visit where the manager, Raschad, personally stepped in and made things right. He listened, acknowledged, and handled the situation with professionalism and care. That follow-through really mattered. Original experience: I had confirmed a 7-seater SUV reservation, but when we arrived at 1:00 AM with our family, the Alamo counter was unattended, we were given conflicting information, and ultimately told no 7-seaters were available. To make matters worse, a staff member cancelled my reservation without my consent instead of trying to help. The initial experience was frustrating, especially late at night while traveling with kids. However, Raschad’s response restored my confidence, and because of how he handled things afterward, I’m comfortable updating this review and giving credit where it’s due.
