Excellent dealership! The purchase of our new car was super easy. Marc is an exceptional sales person. He throughly reviewed all the electronics and bells and whistles on the car with us. Highly recommend Marc as your salesperson. He is very kind and professional.

Working with Marc was a great experience. He’s not really a car salesman, but really a former CPA turned into a sales professional. He does an excellent job help you through the buying process and letting you know the available options. This really didn’t feel like a car buying experience. I buy another car from Marc when the time comes.

Just left having my Volvo EV serviced. Drove 2 hours to get there since not a dealer closer. Spent almost 3 hours there (nothing wrong, just routine service) after having a scheduled appointment. Spent over $200 and it was returned to me with 14% on the battery. That’s bad customer service! If you sell EVs, you’d think you’d get the vehicle returned to you charged.

I recently purchased a Volvo from Bill Knight, and while I don’t usually leave reviews, this experience was disappointing enough that I feel compelled to share in hopes others don’t go through the same thing.
Buying a car should be a fun and exciting experience. Stressful at times, yes—but still exciting. While I truly love my car, both the sales and finance experiences were very lackluster.
This should have been a very easy sale. I knew exactly which car I wanted and reached out as soon as I saw it. I went in, test drove it, and the deal was basically done with very little haggling. Despite that, I had to follow up on nearly everything myself. There was very little communication or initiative from the salesperson, and I constantly felt like I had to ask all the questions.
I understand that selling cars is an everyday occurrence for dealerships, but for customers it’s a big and infrequent purchase. A little effort and follow-up would have gone a long way.
Unfortunately, the poor communication continued after the purchase. A service light came on within six hours of buying the car, which is certified pre-owned. The service manager told me they would get back to me within a week after hearing from Volvo. When Friday came and went with no call, I had to reach out myself—only to be told they were still waiting. A simple courtesy call would have made a big difference.
Another service visit was expected to take 4–5 hours. By the end of the day, I hadn’t heard anything, and the service manager had already left. I was told I’d receive a call the next morning—again, nothing. Once more, I had to call to get any answers.
The only positive part of this entire experience was the finance consultant, who was brand new but genuinely helpful once the paperwork finally made it to his desk—after two days of me asking.
A car purchase is a major investment, whether it’s $5,000 or $50,000. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had in any industry. It’s especially unfortunate because I’ve heard very good things about Bill Knight. Sadly, that was not my experience, and I don’t plan on returning. If there were another Volvo dealership nearby for service, I would absolutely go elsewhere.
I truly hope this was a one-off situation and that others don’t experience the same thing. Car buying should be exciting. It’s fun to drive something shiny and new—and I’m really disappointed that this experience took that feeling away from me.
